John Ruffin’s Godzilla vs. Destroyah Poster with X-Plus

John Ruffin knocked me OUT OF MY CHAIR when I saw this one! This Godzilla vs. Destroyah movie poster composite was made using photos of the Gigantic Series Godzilla 1995 and the Large Monster Series Destoroyah vinyl figures from X-Plus.

This work is a testament to the outstanding sculpts from X-Plus, and the outstanding artistry of John Ruffin. Everything about this piece is PERFECT!

X-Plus 25cm Godzilla 1984 diorama shot by John Ruffin.

John Ruffin is, by far, one of my favorite X-Plus diorama photographers. His latest creation features Godzilla 1985 (going by the Dr. Pepper billboard) among N-Scale buildings. He also hid some plugs in the photo. Can you find shout outs to Kaiju Addicts, Rich Eso and Skreeonk?

MyKaiju‘s John Ruffin is killing it again with his new fan art poster for Godzilla vs. Kong. This composite uses the Toho Large Monster Series Godzilla (2019) vinyl figure by X-Plus (which he got from Flossie’s!).

This is yet another fantastic example of X-Plus vinyls being so good that they look like they walked right out of the movie, and can even walk back in!

Full Review: Toho 30cm Series Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection Shin Godzilla 2016 Ric Exclusive by X-Plus

Kaiju Addicts Full Review: Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection Shin Godzilla 2016 vinyl figure.

The Toho 30cm Series Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection Godzilla 2016 is a fantastic take on Shin Godzilla and ranks at the highest end of the movie accuracy scale. If realism is your thing, then this vinyl is a grand prize winner. It’s upraised tail makes it a little difficult to display but it doesn’t care, and rightly so. The pose is right out of the movie and isn’t that what really matters?

It has super intricate textures, sculpting and ultra fine details rarely found on mere toys. This feels more like an official maquette from the Toho SPFX department than a collectible. I’m almost afraid TOHO will be banging on my door trying to take it back!

This vinyl is a tribute to Mr. Sakai’s superior sculpting skills and X-Plus’ masterful execution. If you are able to add this piece to your collection, you will not be disappointed.
