X-Plus 30cm Godzilla 1962 Reissue is Unleashed; Heads to Aftermarket

X-Plus Godzilla 1962 vinyl figure against night sky.

X-Plus will soon ship the new Toho 30cm Series Godzilla 1962 vinyl figure to those who pre-ordered it. If you missed out on this figure, NOW would be the time to scope the internets (Ebay, Yahoo Japan, etc.) to try and grab him as the prices will be as sane as they ever get. As you know, it doesn’t take long for aftermarket prices to soar to… INsanity.

If you need help deciding, see my Review on the X-Plus Godzilla 1962 original release.

PHOTO: The Shūsuke Kaneko Kaiju Face Off

X-Plus Godzilla 2001 size comparison with Gamera 1996.

They may have come from different movies but these two look great together! From director Shūsuke Kaneko’s “Gamera 2: Attack of Legion”, 1996 (ガメラ2 レギオン襲来) and “Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack”, 2001 (ゴジラ・モスラ・キングギドラ 大怪獣総攻撃).

PHOTO: S.H. MonsterArts Kiryu vs. X-Plus Godzilla 2003

S.H. Monsterarts Kiryu beside the X-Plus Godzilla 2003 vinyl figure.

The recently released S.H. MonsterArts Kiryu is quite a looker. At about 6 inches tall, it took a little convincing (with Photoshop) to get it beside the X-Plus Godzilla 2003 vinyl figure which is more like 12 inches tall. Let’s just hope the soon to be released X-Plus Kiryu looks this good!

MINI REVIEW: Wow, Wow, Dyna! The second Heisei Ultraman gets the X-Plus treatment.

X-Plus Ultraman Dyna Vinyl Figure - Full body shot.

X-Plus seems to be releasing the New Generation Ultraman figures in order of appearance. Tiga came out earlier this year. (Click here for my Tiga Review.) And in May, X-Plus released Ultraman Dyna. Gaia will be an October release. But back to Dyna: as usual it looks amazing. From little crinkles in the suit to the tiny facets of the crystalline eyes. When they sing “Wow, Wow, Dyna!” in the theme song, I think they must be singing about this figure.
