TOHO 30cm Series Battra Larva vinyl figure by X-Plus.

Great news for those of you yearning to add more Heisei to your collection: X-Plus has just announced the Toho 30cm Series Battra Larva vinyl figure. Battra comes from the 1992 movie Godzilla vs. Mothra (ゴジラvsモスラ).

Sculpted by Takashi Saiwai (GOWROW) as a kit (which came out only last year I believe), this piece is a pretty accurate representation of everyone’s favorite evil larva. (How many evil larvae do you know, anyway?) Though, I did notice that the horn is larger than it should be when comparing photos of this figure to shots from the movie. Not that big a deal in my book since I didn’t even know until I compared the shots. I’d rather it be more accurate but I’ll take what I can get.

The Battra suit is a maze of textures, colors and spikes so this guy is sure to be impressive on display in your collection. Plus, it’s colors will help break up the forest of asphalt gray and treebark textures on your shelves.

X-Plus says that this figure will be 30cm (12 inches) tall. That will definitely include that overly large horn. He won’t see eye-to-eye with the previously released Toho 30cm Series Godzilla 1992, but they look like they will scale well enough with each other.
