X-Plus 30cm Series Godzilla 1954 vinyl figure on my desk.

Hanging out on my desk today is the 30cm Series Godzilla 1954 by X-Plus.

This is special today for 2 reasons. 65 years ago today on November 3, 1954, Godzilla first stomped onto Japanese movie theater screens. So, Happy Anniversary, Gojisama!

Next, this is the 3rd ever X-Plus I got. And my first 30cm Series Godzilla.

Since this figure came out, X-Plus has released four more 54’s. And so this guy here often gets forgotten.

It was the tallest 30cm Godzilla for a long while. I think it was finally beaten by last years Godzilla 1967.

It’s been released a few times already, mostly with monochrome paint apps (as seen here) and also in color.

Seems a shame this figure seems mostly ignored now. What do you think of it? How do you rank it?

When you have well over 100 X-Plus figures, each one tends to blur out of focus in lieu of the collection as a whole. ‘X-Plus of the Day’ is when I select one of them and keep them on my desk for the day in an attempt to enjoy and appreciate it away from the busy shelves.
